STILL BEAUTIFUL. STILL CONFIDENT. #STILLME - More Than A Shirt

This Valentine’s Day season, we are changing the narrative. We often show love to others. We remind our partners how much we appreciate them. We constantly tell our kids how much we love them. If someone asked you to make a list of people you love - how far down the list would it take you to name yourself? When was the last time you showed love to yourself? When was the last time you told yourself "I love you" and "I'm proud of you"? After becoming a mom, we often put ourselves last.

This year, we are adding ourselves to the top of that list!

It is so important to practice self love and self care after you become a mom but it can sometimes feel impossible when you don't feel comfortable in your own skin. You may have stretch marks, scars, cellulite, and a pouch that you can't seem to get rid of and can't stand to look at.

Social media and society glorifies snapbacks. It makes moms feel they are less than and unworthy when they don't look how models/celebrities do after they have babies. Social media and society loves watching women grow while they are pregnant but expect them to shrink down right after birth.

This needs to stop!

Women's bodies expand, our organs rearrange - we can not expect our bodies to look the exact same as it did before kids. It is said if someone sees something more, the more it will be accepted and normalized. This is what the #STILLME Campaign is about.

Normalizing Real Postpartum Bodies.

Normalizing the Journey to Self Love.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT.

We are reminding moms that they are not alone and that their feelings are valid. To see someone's body that looks like theirs and hear someone's story that relates to theirs. Nobody and No BODY is the exact same and we need to view that as unique and an amazing thing. We all want to be included, to be represented, to be seen, to be heard - and this is our time to connect with mothers all over the world.

Everything starts with Self Love. Self Love is a journey and it takes time especially after having children. Once we realize how AMAZING our bodies are and give yourself so much grace and patience - you will learn to love yourself and your body again!

We gathered and interviewed 4 beautiful, amazing mamas to share their postpartum and self love journey - Kenniqua (Mom of 1), Imani (Mom of 6), Erika (Mom of 1), and Melissa (Mom of 2). Check out our recent posts on Instagram @thenotsoperfectmomshop to join in the discussions we had during our interview.

Our #STILLME tee is more than just a shirt. It is a movement. It's that gentle hug for mamas to encourage them to begin/ continue their self love journey. It's a reminder every mama needs to hear often. It's positive affirmations that should be said daily.

The Not So Perfect Mom LLC wants to remind all mamas -

YOU ARE STILL BEAUTIFUL.

YOU ARE STILL CONFIDENT.

And say with pride #STILLME <3
